Privacy Policy
Sleep Recorder ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use the Sleep Recorder mobile application ("App") on iOS.
1. Overview
Sleep Recorder is a single-device (standalone) app. All data—including every sleep recording, any extracted high-decibel segments (e.g. snoring, sleep talking, teeth grinding), your labels (e.g. pre-sleep state, behavior type), and data report statistics—is stored only on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your recordings or analysis on our servers or anywhere else.
Sleep Recorder lets you record sleep audio, tag segments, view and play them in Sleep Records, and see statistics in the Data Report. All processing and storage happens locally on your device.
2. Information We Process on Your Device
2.1 Sleep recordings
- The App uses the microphone and stores audio only on your device.
- Recordings, segments, and labels are kept only on your device. We do not send or store your recordings on our servers.
2.2 Profile & settings
Display name and avatar are stored only on your device. Daily reminder times are stored only on your device. We do not collect or transmit this data.
2.3 No account
Sleep Recorder does not require an account or login. We do not store any user account data.
3. Device Permissions
The App may request Microphone (for recording) and Photo Library (only if you use the profile avatar). You can revoke these in Settings → Privacy.
4. Data Storage and Retention
All data is stored only on your device. The App does not upload to any server. Data remains until you delete recordings, clear App data, or remove the App.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. We do not transmit your data to our servers or to analytics or advertising partners.
6. Children's Privacy
Sleep Recorder can be used by people of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information. All data stays on the user's device. Parents with concerns may contact us (section 10).
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses Apple system frameworks and SwiftData for local storage. We do not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that collect your data.
8. Your Rights
Your data lives on your device. You can delete recordings in Sleep Records or remove the App to delete all data. You can change permissions in device Settings.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
